What does pre-production mean?

 

When preparing for a production the team must choose various aspects for the best outcome for the audience's enjoyment, The production would be decided on many things such as responsibility scripts storyboards budget equipment and many other choices.

The most obvious explanation of why Twilight felt so different from the other movies in the franchise is, of course, budget. Since the production and distribution company behind Twilight wasn't expecting the movie to make more than $29 million, the budget for the film was extremely limited.

Films can achieve support through government support and public finance options. Shifty is a ‘micro budget’ social, British, realist film made by Between the Eyes. The company were supported by microwave a scheme for London based film makers 

In order to keep budgets low, films are made on tight schedules. Shifty was made in 18 days which means that they only had a budget of under £100,000 as they were working under a scheme called 'microwave' 

Based the success of shifty they redesigned there company called 42 after making more films under 42 they joined forces with Netflix

storyboards entail images or sketches to show different ideas fo a film and they also show camera angles and timing for the films

When reporting the budget of the film. The amount of the budget represents the gross budget, which is the grand total of the actual spending to produce the project.

What is a risk assement?

Risk assessments are extremely important during the pre-production processes as it ensures the companies are being safe during production and to ensure the other production companies on the site the risk of severe injuries are low.​

A script is a document that comprises the setting, characters, dialogue, and stage directions for movies, TV shows, and stage plays. In film and television, scriptwriters are called screenwriters.
